Update: Free Opera

Well, the email address thing was a fake, but Opera have put up a form now to get your free registration codes. As a side note, it only seems to work if you check the box to subscribe to the Opera newsletter.

The email sent back just provided the codes for different OS's (similar to the page on the website) with nothing about a newsletter. On the site I think I remember seeing a checkbox for it. Of course I unchecked the newsletter thingy as I do everytime I'm confronted with one (why do they even bother? :))

I still haven't got an email back, but the site was quite snappy when I used it. Did you have to sign up for the newsletter to get your codes?

I actually tried both (email and site registration) and they both ended up working. Although the registration code reply via email took probably 7 hours, where the site thing was immediate. I wonder how quickly news spread about it. There server seemed quite slow to respond yesterday, maybe they were hit harder than they expected.
