Random Things

Things have been hectic around the global HQ this last week or so, and I have hardly had the time to scratch my left ear – which has been surprisingly itchy lately.

On the MobileBurn side of things, I have reviews for the LG M6100 handset and the Motorola H300 Bluetooth headset in my to-do pile, which I aim to post during this week. The boss man has gone away on vacation for the week, so I’ll be stepping up again to look after the castle.

I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my Nokia E61, which should finally be showing up tomorrow (Monday). I use a lot of phones, but this is one I’m really looking forward to putting through its paces. Expect a mini-review to be posted here on Monday night or Tuesday morning.

I recently got well and truly put in my place in a conversation about the Motorola V3i m. Yes, that ‘m’ at the end is intentional, as is the space after the V3i part. You see, a month or so ago I got word of a Motorola V3im (no space) for the UK market, which is a V3i with iTunes built in. When I queried Motorola about this, as it was a model designation that I had not heard before, they claimed it didn’t exist. As you can probably guess though, it does, but it is a V3i with an ‘m’ variant, not a whole new model, so the PR people weren’t aware of it. To make matters worse, you can also get the plain V3i with iTunes, making the ‘m’ version superfluous anyway. So in summary, yes there is a V3i m, but no there is not a V3im. Thanks, Motorola.
