Booting and running the Google Chrome OS (which I compiled from the open source Chromium OS source code) on my ancient original Asus eeePC. The 404s are because it takes a while to connect to my wireless internet. Note the awesome graphics bugs, which thankfully don’t happen too often.

    Great effort – any chance of a brief walkthrough on the build and install process for all us other EEE users? I’m really interested in running ChromeOS, even in the current alpha state

    I also agree! I have the same old eeePC and would love to give this beta a try, but I lack the skills to compile the source myself.
    Maybe you could share the OS img file via torrent?

    Yeah, if you could post the compiled install for the original EeePC or a how-to that would be awesome! I have an old 4G that would be perfect for testing this out!
